Late News 14/01 Percuil River: 8+ Red-breasted Mergansers opposite St Mawes and 1+ Firecrest at Place Manor. (S Kendall)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Bittern, 1 Little Egret, 6 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 3 Mute Swan, 23 Teal, 6 Mallard, 1 Wigeon, 2 Shoveler, 1 Coot, 29 Moorhen, 2+ Water Rail, 4 Little Grebe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 6 Snipe, 1 Oystercatcher, 7 Redwing, 2 Chiffchaff and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. 4 Med Gulls (3 ad, 1 1W) and 2 Little Gulls (ad, 1W) on Longrock Pool. Drift Reservoir: (CBWPS members only): 26 Mute Swan, 135 Canada Geese, 2 Greylag, 9 hybrid geese, 52 Tufted Duck, 1 Goldeneye, 18 Wigeon, 99 Mallard, 94 Teal, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 1 Water Rail, c60 Lapwing, 3 Common Gull, 43 Black-headed Gull, 159 Herring Gull, 7 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 3 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Peregrine, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Buzzard, 5 Long-tailed Tit and 1 Goldcrest. Hayle Estuary RSPB: Water Pipit at the top of Copperhouse Creek between the Coop and the library.

Swanpool: Yellow-browed warbler still at Swanvale NR by willows by the pump house.
