Late News 21/01 Par: 23 Goldfinch over top car park. 2 Long-tailed Tit, 22 Magpie, 2 Little Grebe, 125 Canada Geese, 27 Mute Swan, 2 Collared Dove, 4 Wood Pigeon, 1 Shelduck, 4 Tufted Duck, 2 Snipe, 3 Blackbird, 2 Redwing, 2 Dunnock, 7 Pied Wagtails, 1 Robin, 38 Starling, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Kingfisher (heading in the direction of the river) and c40 Black-headed Gull, plus Coots, Moorhens, Mallards, corvids, and Herring Gulls on the pool. Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Bittern (Longrock Pool), 1 Little Egret, 8 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 6 Mute Swan, 14 Teal, 6 Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 1 Wigeon, 15 Moorhen, 2 Water Rail, 7 Snipe, 37 Curlew over, 1 Chiffchaff and 3+ Cetti’s Warbler. Coverack: 2 Siberian Chiffchaff with 8 Chiffchaff at the sewerage works. (S Bury)

Swanpool Beach: 2 female type Goldeneye diving close to beach at low tide. (J St Ledger)

Men-an-Tol: 1 Ringtail Hen Harrier at 16:55. (J St Ledger)

Rumps Point: 1 Balearic Shearwater, 1 Red-Throated Diver, 1 male Common Scoter, 100+ Gannet and 1 Black Redstart. (C Selway)

The Moul’s: 200+ Great Black-backed, 100+ Herring and 1 adult Iceland Gull roosted on this evening. (C Selway)
