Late News 28/01 Sancreed: 1 Ruff and 150 Lapwing. (D Flumm)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Bittern (Longrock Pool), 7 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan, 22 Teal, 11 Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 1 Wigeon, 1 Coot, 20 Moorhen, 1 Little Grebe, 2+ Water Rail, 1 Kestrel, 2 Buzzard, 3 Snipe, 2 Chiffchaff and 2+ Cetti’s Warbler. Also 27 Sanderling and 2 Ringed Plover on the beach and Black-throated Diver offshore. (D Parker & L Proctor) Merlin reported early morning. (P Freestone)

Penzance, Chyandour: 1 Long-tailed Duck still. (L Proctor)

Longrock: 2 Slav Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Eider and 1 Red-throated Diver. (L Proctor)

Sancreed: 1W Iceland Gull in fields opposite village at 08:30, then it or another on hill north of Grumbla 10:30. Also 1 Stonechat, 20 Redwing, 3 Nuthatch. (D Flumm)

Falmouth: Black Redstart on buildings by the police station, plus Kingfisher and Greenshank on Penryn Estuary. (L Sampson)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 3 Goosander on Ryan’s Field. (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

Helston Loe Pool: Female type Bufflehead still. (A Johnson)

Sennen Cove: Ad Iceland Gull and 3+ ad Med Gulls.

Par: Drake Ring-necked Duck still on Par Beach Pool.

Chapel Amble: Glossy Ibis showing well in field opposite village car park.

Dozmary Pool: Probable drake Lesser Scaup still.

Brew: Siberian Chiffchaff at the sewerage works.

Porthpean: 3 Black-throated Divers and 4 Great Northern Divers.
