Late News 02/02 Canonstown: Possible Pallas’s Warbler again briefly at 14:08 in a private back garden. (R George)

Late News 02/02 Sennen Cove: Ad Glaucous Gull off Cowloe late afternoon.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 3 Bittern in the morning (Longrock Pool, main marsh & by the boardwalk), 1 again at Longrock pool in the afternoon and 1 on the main marsh in the evening. Also 1 Little Egret, 15 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 8 Mute Swan, 1 hybrid goose, 74 Teal, 13 Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 2 Gadwall, 3 Wigeon, 1 Coot, 21 Moorhen, 3 Little Grebe, 3+ Water Rail, 3 Buzzard, 8 Snipe, 1 Stonechat, 8 Chiffchaff and 2 Cetti’s Warbler. Also 53 Sanderling, 5 Dunlin, 4 Bar-tailed Godwit and 4 Oystercatcher on the beach, plus 1 Great Northern Diver, 1 Common Scoter and 3 Bottle-nosed Dolphins offshore. Stithians Reservoir: Drake Ring-necked Duck with 54 Tufted Duck. (D Parker)

Newlyn: Juv Glaucous Gull flew from the harbour at 15:15, plus 1 m Eider, 3 Slavonian Grebe and 9 Common Scoter off Sandy Cove. (L Proctor) Also 2W Iceland Gull still.

Helston Loe Pool: Female type Bufflehead again plus 1 redhead Smew in Carminowe Creek still opposite Lower Pentire Barn this afternoon, also 1 Bittern on the ice, 4 Goosander, 5 Gadwall, 8 Shoveler, 35 Pochard, 32 Tufted Duck, 15 Teal, 5 Great Crested Grebe and a Firecrest. (P Fraser & R Menari)

St Gothian Sands LNR: 2 Gadwall, 2 Shoveler, 2 Wigeon, 55 Pochard, 16 Tufted Duck, 30 Teal, 5 Shelduck, 7 Dunlin, 1 Turnstone and 4 Med Gulls (1ad & 3 1W) plus a Great Northern Diver offshore. (P Fraser)

Mousehole: 3 Purple Sandpipers on the rocks and the 1W Glaucous Gull flew in to roost on St Clements Island at 16:30. (P Fraser)

Gwithian Towans: 7 Black-throated Diver, 5 Red-throated Diver, 2 Great Northern Diver, 5 Teal, 20 Shag and 3 Razorbill offshore from the car park. (P St Pierre)

Truro: 2 Bullfinch, 1 m Blackcap and 6 Redwing along the old railway line from Penwethers to Newham. Also 6 Canada Geese in Calenick Creek. (D Jenkins)

Truro River: 6 Black-tailed Godwit, c200 Dunlin, 1 Greenshank and 1 Common Sandpiper beside Tesco’s. (D Jenkins)

Feock, Loe Beach: 40+ Black-necked Grebe, 12+ Red-breasted Merganser, 1 Little Egret and 1 Raven. (A Hartley)

Chapel Amble: 5 Red-legged Partridge. (A Hartley)

Falmouth: 4 Linnet near the car park, 2 Rock Pipit, 2 Oystercatcher and at least 1 Purple Sandpiper on the rocks at Pendennis. Male Black Redstart at Castle Beach. 2 Whimbrel, adult Med Gull, 12 Oystercatchers and 2 Curlew on the rock flats to the east of Gyllyngvase beach. (D Chaney)

Swanpool: 1 Teal and 2 Bullfinches plus a Chiffchaff and a female type Black Redstart on the cliff adjacent to the beach. (D Chaney)

Penryn River: 30+ Teal, 14 Mute Swan, 4 Greenshank, 4+ Turnstone and a Bar-tailed Godwit, with Little Grebe, Redshank and a lone Curlew. (D Chaney)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only):5 Gadwall, 2 Pintail, 2 Shoveler, 9 Coot, 21 Teal, 54 Wigeon, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 60+ Curlew, 9 Dunlin, 21 Common Snipe, 800+ Black-headed Gull and 12 Herring Gull sitting on the ice. (C Selway)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: Great White Egret flew east over Salting Reach, Lelant at 15:20.

Hannafore Point: Black Redstart still at 15:00 and a Slav Grebe offshore.
