Late News 06/02 Carrick Roads: Pair of Eiders. (C Hughes)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Bittern, 1 Little Egret, 13 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 6 Mute Swan, 61 Teal, 13 Mallard, 3 Wigeon, 3 Shoveler, 1 Coot, 22 Moorhen, 1+ Little Grebe, 2 Water Rail, 30 Snipe, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Bullfinch, 2 Stonechat, 7 Chiffchaff and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. Also 2W Med Gull, 67 Sanderling, 21 Ringed Plover, 15 Dunlin and 3 Oystercatcher on the beach. (D Parker & D Flumm)

Newlyn: Juv Glaucous Gull and 2W Iceland Gull again in the harbour. (R Menari) Also Black Redstart at Sandy Cove.

St Gothian Sands LNR: 1 drake Ring-necked Duck, 41 Pochard, 1 ad Med Gull and 1 Common Gull with injured foot/leg on the large pool, also 6 Dunlin on small pool. (D Jenkins)Godrevy, Mutton Cove: c90 seals were on the beach and 1 Turnstone was feeding amongst them, while 2 ad Herring Gull were pecking at the seals, apparently taking something to eat from their fur. Falmouth: 2 Whimbrel with 1 Curlew, 2 Black Redstart (1 male, 1 female), 15 Turnstone, 1 Little Egret, 9 Oystercatcher, 1 Stonechat and 1 Grey Wagtail at Castle Beach. (J St Ledger)

Helston, Loe Pool: Female type Bufflehead still.
