Late News 23/03 Looe: Grey Heron chicks already well-advanced in the heronry.

Late News, 23/03 Goonhusband: Hen Harrier (fem) in field west of A3083 by RNAS Culdrose.

Penzance: Surf Scoter 1st-winter drake still off Jubilee Pool (distant).

Drift Reservoir (CBWPS members only): Scaup dr still, 3 Sand Martins, Cetti’s Warbler, Water Pipit, Water Rail. (L Proctor) also Green Sandpiper and Willow Warbler.

Sancreed: Red Kite over between Sancreed and Tremethick Cross.

Polgigga: 2 Hoopoe this morning at Higher Bossistow Farm, 1 still present this eve by lower Bossistow farm plus Hen Harrier and Black Redstart.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1w Meditteranean Gull, 2 Sand Martin, Water Pipit, Siskin, 18 Sandwich Tern. (P St Pierre) Marsh Harrier (sub ad male) late afternoon. (R Menari) Snipe, Dunlin, 2 Shelduck, 3 Teal. (W Renshaw)





Sennen Cove: 7 Sandwich Tern. (B Dodd) also 6 Black Redstart and 2 White Wagtail at Mayon Cliff and the juv Iceland Gull in field at the A30/B3306 junction.

Carn Brae: Iceland Gull adult and 2 juveniles in field by Kerrow Farm.

Lostwithiel: Black Redstart in private garden at Penpoll Grange,Falmouth.

Pendennis Point: 1 Med Gull (adult, summer plumage), 3 Gannet (adult) diving close to point, 4 Oystercatcher, 1 Chiffchaff, 6 Linnet, 4 Goldfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 2 Coal Tit. (J St Ledger)

Falmouth, Castle Beach: 6+ Peacock butterflies. (J St Ledger)

Windmill Farm: Hen Harrier (male), 6 Mallard, 4 Teal, 3 Black Redstarts, 1 Willow Warbler, 5 Chiffchaffs, 1 Wheatear. (A Pay, D Wright)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): Female Blue-winged Teal still this afternoon.

Bude: 5 House Martin over Northcott Mouth this afternoon.

Newlyn: Raven in the harbour.

Lizard: Black Redstart between Tregowris and Menifters in roadside hedge.

Helston: Bittern at Sithney Green in stream on side of lane.

St Ives: Night Heron still at Consols pool this evening though very elusive.

Buttermilk Hill: 3 Ring Ouzel (male), 21 Linnet.

Porthmeor Beach: 3 Sandwich Tern.
