Late News 08/04 Stithians Reservoir:The colour ringed Lesser Black-backed Gull found on Sunday’s WeBS count was ringed as a pullus in Helgoland on the Germany/Denmark border on 2nd July 2010. It has also been reported in France at Blaringhem, Nord Pas de Calais on 21st April 2011. (S Taylor) There are only 13 previous records of German-ringed Lesser Black-backed Gulls in the UK and this is only the third foreign-ringed Lesser Black-backed Gull in Cornwall. The previous were from Spain and Channel Island. (M Grantham)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 11 Grey Heron, 6 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Geese, 1 Greylag, 1 hybrid goose, 2 Shelduck, 5 Mallard, 2 Teal, 11 Moorhen, 1 Cormorant, 6 Black-headed Gull, c60 Sand Martin, 3 Swallow, 1 Chiffchaff and 2+ Cetti’s Warbler. Hell’s Mouth: Raven, LBB Gull, 65+ Herring Gull, 12+ Shag, Jackdaws and 7 Gannet close inshore plus Peregrine, Buzzard and Kestrels flying over. (S Taylor)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 12 Greenshank (including the Ythan Estuary colour ringed individual), 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 36 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Lapwing, 2 Dunlin, 2 Pintail, 1 Wigeon, 12 Shoveler, 18 Teal, 8 Gadwall, 200+ Herring Gull, 54 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 10 Great Black-backed Gull, 8 Black-headed Gull, 2 House Martin, 100+ Sand Martin, 8 Swallow, 1 male Sparrowhawk, 1 immature Peregrine Falcon, 2 Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaff and 3 Willow Warbler. Penzance: Sum plum Great Northern Diver, 5 Common Scoter and several Sandwich Terns offshore (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

St Ives: Ringtail Montagu’s Harrier south over St Ives.

St Ives: Male Ring Ouzel on Buttermilk Hill. Park at approx SW486394 and walk south and east to search.

Par: Ring-necked Duck still at Par Beach pool.
