Late News 02/5 Trevalgan Hill: 4 Wheatears. (V Stratton)

Late News 02/5 Tresillian River: 15 Whimbrel between Tresillian and Tresemple Pool, 3 Common Sandpiper on Tresemple Pool, plus a male Wheatear on the bank by the path between pool and the river. (A Nicholson)Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8 Grey Heron, 6 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 2 hybrid geese, 5 Mallard, 2 Coot, 6 Moorhen (plus another 3 young), 2 Cormorant, 23 Whimbrel, 1 Common Sandpiper, 1 Sparrowhawk, c20 Swift, c30 Swallow, c20 Sand Martin, c5 House Martin, 5 Wheatear, 2 Reed Bunting, Chiffchaffs, Willow Warblers, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers and 3 Cetti’s Warbler. Marazion: M & f Siskin on feeder in a private garden. 12 Whimbrel and 10 Dunlin on the beach also 3 Great Northern Divers and 7 very distant Common Scoters offshore. (C Barnard, D Parker & I Webster)

Lands End: 1 Cuckoo, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 22 Common Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, 3 Wheatear, 1 Peregrine plus a light passage of Swallows, a few Sand Martins and Swifts. (C Barnard)

Helston: Party of 4 Swifts back on territory in the town. (G Adams)

Crowdy Reservoir: Iceland Gull 15:30 flew off east, 13+ Whimbrel, 6 Common Sandpiper, 1 Grasshopper Warbler and 2+ Cuckoo. (B Craven) Also Osprey over at 11:30.

Davidstow Airfield: 50+ Wheatear, 10 Whimbrel. (B Craven)

Rosemullion Head: 5 Whimbrel, 11 Oystercatcher, 2 Shelduck, 2 Willow Warbler, 2 Skylark and 2 Kestrel. (J St Ledger)

Buttermilk Hill: 3 Cuckoos, all males calling, 12 Wheatears, 1, Whitethroat and 80+ Swallows. (V Stratton)

Burthallan Lane, St Ives: Very large flock of Hirundines consisting of 150 Swallows, 40+ House Martins and 18 Swifts. All the birds were feeding on insects high above the lane for approximately 15 minutes and all disappeared Northwards out over the sea. (V Stratton)

Hellesveor Moors: 300+ Swallows, 20+ House Martins and 35 Sand Martins, all the hirundines were feeding low over the extensive moorland but had disappeared 20 minutes later. (V Stratton)

Sennen Cove: House Martins back in the Cove. (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only):Black-winged Stilt still.

Gannel Estuary: 3w Iceland Gull again.

Windmill Farm:Male Golden Oriole on the approach road to reserve, please drive considerately.

Morwenstow: Hoopoe at Woodford, 2k SE of Morwenstow.

Chapel Carn Brea: Iceland Gull at the junction of A30/B3306 at Kerrow Farm.

Cape Cornwall: Male Woodchat still in fields between Boswedden House and the Golf Club entrance.
