Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 5 Mute Swan, 2 Canada Geese (plus 1 gosling), 7 Greylag, 1 hybrid goose, 2 Mallard, 1 drake Shoveler, 5 Moorhen, 1 Reed Bunting, Swallows, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers and 4 Cetti’s Warbler. Otter again on Long Rock Pool. (D Parker)

Higher Bosavern, St Just: 2 Red Kite mobbed by 2 corvids very close to the Lands End road at 14:10, also visible from Kelynack. (D Jenkins & L Proctor) Also Black Kite with a Red Kite reported from Kelynack this afternoon at c13:45.

Drift Reservoir: (CBWPS members only):2 Red Kites west of the reservoir at 15:10. (L Proctor)

Porth Joke: Red Kite flew west at 07:20, then it or another flew east at 09:10. 2 Spotted Flycatcher at seaward end of valley. (S Rowe)

Gwinear Fish Ponds (just East of Cubert turning): 2 Red Kite west at 11:20 then another west at 11:30. (S Rowe)


St Ives: Red Kite east over Steeple Woods at 14:30. Bee-eater east over Steeple Lane/Knills Monument at 18:05. (S Rowe)

Connor Downs: Black Kite flew east at 15:10, also 2 Red Kites. (P Freestone)

Withybrook Valley: 1 Cuckoo, present since about 19 April. Pair of Siskins in conifers by visitor centre, male performing display flight. (J Macadam)

Penzance: 10 Purple Sandpipers at the roost site at Battery Rocks this afternoon. (Sennen Cove Birdwatching)

Poldhu Cove: Possible ringtail Pallid Harrier flew east at 10:40.
