Late News 13/2 Hayle Estuary RSPB: The colour-ringed Lesser Black-backed Gull reported was first ringed by the Severn Estuary Gull Group at Hempsted, Gloucester on 9th May 2009. It was aged at the time as at least 5 years old.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 7 Grey Heron, 3 Mute Swan, 2 Canada Geese (plus 1 gosling), 7 Mallard (plus 3 well grown ducklings), drake Shoveler, 4 Moorhen, 1+ Stonechat, 1 Greenfinch, 2+ Goldfinch, 3 Swifts, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers and 4+ Cetti’s Warbler (1 ringed). (D Parker & W Renshaw)

Nine Stones, Upper Fowey: 12+ Willow Warbler, 4+ Chiffchaff, 5+ Blackcap, 1 Redstart, 12+ Siskin, 5 Redpoll, 4+ Cuckoo, 2 Green Woodpecker, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 1 male Stonechat. (D Parker)

Halvanna: 15+ Siskin, 8+ Redpoll, 1 Crossbill, 5 Willow Warbler (1 carrying food for young), 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Spotted Flycatcher, pair Coal Tit, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 1 singing Tree Pipit. (D Parker)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 1 Spoonbill, 1 moulting drake Garganey, 1 Common Pochard, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 immature Peregrine Falcon, also 1 Red Fox. (C Selway)

Land’s End: Red-backed Shrike reported from east of the cycle track at c10:45.

Penzance: Red Kite over Trevaylor at 14:50.
