Late News 21/08 Kingsmill: 1 Ruff, 5 Black-tailed Godwit, 30 Greenshank, 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Common Sandpiper and 22 Dunlin. (M Beer)

Penzance: Eider again off Chyandour at 06:40. (L Proctor)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 7 Grey Heron, 8+ Little Egret, 4 Mute Swan and 4 cygnets, 1 Cormorant, 5 Mallard, 1 Teal, 2 ad Moorhen plus 25 full grown young, 1 Water Rail, 1 Dunlin, 1 Ruff, 2 Green Sandpiper, 1 Peregrine, 2 Sparrowhawk, 3 Buzzard, 3 Stonechat, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Jay, Sedge Warblers and Reed Warblers. Marazion: 15 Ringed Plover, 20 Dunlin, 15 Sanderling and 2 Turnstone on the beach, plus a calling Tawny Owl in the early hours east of the village. (D Flumm & D Parker)

Penzance: 7+ House Martin nests with young about to fledge at top of Mannaye Road, opposite Penzance football ground. Also 150+ Jackdaw roosting in pine plantation opposite Mounts Bay School, Heamoor presumably from the local chimney nesting population. (P St Pierre)

Davidstow: 2 Wood Sandpiper, 2 Dunlin, 6+ Wheatear and 20+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls on the airfield. (J Aldous)

Penryn River: 2 Whimbrel, 4 Greenshank, 31 Redshank, 2 Turnstone, 3 Oystercatcher, 17 Curlew, 1 Little Egret, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Jay, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Buzzard, 1 Wheatear, 12 Swallow and 7 House Martin. (John St Ledger)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 22 Greenshank (including the Ythan Estuary colour ringed) 6 Ruff, 1 Wood Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 2 Common Sandpiper, 1 Knot, 1 Lapwing, 1 juv Little Ringed Plover, 1 juv Ringed Plover, 1 juv Little Stint, 2 Dunlin, 10 Black-tailed Godwit and a Curlew.
