Late News 24/08 Porthgwarra: 2 Wrynecks seen together at Roskestal. (C Lamsdell)

Late News 26/08 Porthgwarra: Long-tailed Skua reported.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Spotted Crakes showing well from the standing stone at 07:30, ad still present at 19:10 at least. Also 4 Grey Heron, 5+ Little Egret, 5 Mute Swan and 4 cygnets, 1 Cormorant, 6 Mallard, 8 ad Moorhen plus 9 full grown young, 1 Redshank, 1 Stonechat, Sedge Warblers and Reed Warblers. Porthgwarra: 1 Great Shearwater, 5 Sooty Shearwater, 12 Balearic Shearwater, 40+ Manx Shearwater, 16 Bonxie, 44 Arctic Skua, 1 probable Long-tailed Skua, 2 Pom Skua (inc 1 ad with spoons), 1 Storm Petrel, 1 Leach’s Petrel, 6 Common Tern, 1 Arctic Tern, 1 Black Tern and 1 Puffin between dawn and 16:35. Porthgwarra: 1 Swift in the valley. (D Eva) Wryneck still at Arden-Sawah farm.

Treraven Meadows: 1 Peregrine, 1 Sparrowhawk, 6 Grey Wagtail, Pied Wagtail, 8 Ruff, 2 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 6 Teal, 2 Grey Heron, Cormorant, large flock of mixed Swallow/Sand Martin/House Martin, 1 Swift, 1 Kingfisher and 1 Buzzard.
