Late News 30/08 St Ives: Sabine’s Gull, Pom Skua, 10 Balearic Shearwater and 7 Sooty Shearwater past the Island.

Late News 30/08 Wadebridge: 3 Green Sandpiper flew low over Guineaport in the evening. Also 2 Common Sandpiper on the river bank and Tawny Owl calling in Egloshayle Park. (W Delacour)

Marazion: Ad Buff-breasted Sandpiper still opposite the lifeguard hut, also c120 Dunlin, c200 Ringed Plover, 35 Turnstone, c80 Sanderling and 2 Oystercatcher on the beach and a Yellow Wagtail over. Marazion Marsh RSPB: Up to 3 Spotted Crakes showing from the standing stone. Also 6 Grey Heron, 5 Little Egret, 4 Mute Swan with 4 cygnets, 2 Cormorant, 5 Mallard, 4 ad Moorhen plus 14 full grown young and 1 downy young, 10+ Swallow and Sedge Warblers. (D Parker & W Renshaw)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: At least 1 Pectoral Sandpiper still in the main channel off the causeway plus 1 Common Sandpiper, also 2  Black-tailed Godwit, 75 Canada Geese, 2 hybrid geese, 1 Little  Egret and 3 Curlew. (L Proctor & W Chegwidden)

Mullion: 2 Pied Flycatchers at Predannack Wollas, near Windyridge Farm. (S Bury)

Porthgwarra: Dotterel over south at 09:30. (M Wallace)

Treraven Meadow: Juvenile Mediterranean Gull in a large flock of Black-headed Gulls at Treraven this morning, also 25+ Teal, Common Sandpiper. Also Little Grebe on the river. (W Delacour)

Walmsley Sanctuary (CBWPS Members Only): 2 large wader groups consisting of mixed shanks, Dunlin, Ruff and Ringed Plover 120+ flew over Walmsley towards Amble at high tide. Birds on the reserve included 1 Little Ringed Plover, 10 Black-tailed Godwit, 10 Snipe, 4 Green Sandpiper, 56 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 1 juv Tufted Duck, Little Grebe (with at least 1 young) 9+ Sedge Warbler (with at least 2 juv ringed) 2 Blackcap and 3 Chiffchaff. Falmouth, Gyllyngvase Beach: 1 Med Gull, 4 Common Tern, 7 Sandwich Tern, 5 Redshank and 8 Oystercatcher on rocks at low tide. (J St Ledger)
