Late News 02/09 Pendeen: 1 Great Northern Diver flying high and east, 4 Sooty Shearwaters,3 Balearic Shearwaters, 1 Arctic Skua,1 Puffin,4 Bottle Nosed Dolphins playing in the surf  [see  photos] and 1 Basking Shark between 08:30 & 10:00. (B Mellow)

Late News 02/09 Porthgwarra: 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 3 Balearic Shearwaters ,1 Bonxie,1 Arctic Skua and 2 Basking Sharks. Also 2 Great  Spotted Woodpeckers and 4 Whitethroat  between 12:00 & 14:00. (B Mellow)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: Spotted Crake still from the standing stone, also 12 Grey Heron, 9+ Little Egret, 1 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan plus 4 cygnets, 3 Mallard, 4 ad Moorhen plus 16 young, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Wheatear, juv Stonechat and Sedge Warblers. (D Parker)

Marazion: Ad Buff-breasted Sandpiper still on the beach by the Lifeguards hut at 08:30, 12:45 & 17:00 at least. Also c150 Ringed Plover, c80 Dunlin, c120 Sanderling, c50 Turnstone, 2 Oystercatcher and 1 juv Curlew Sandpiper. (D Parker, D Flumm, S Maycock & F Hull)

Land’s End: 5 Whitethroat, 11 Willow Warbler, 1 Sedge Warbler, 4 Stonechat (3 juv), 1 Peregrine, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel and 1+ Chough from the cycle path and 73 Starling in the complex. (D Parker)

Nanjizal: 39 Ringed Plover and a juv Peregrine in the field by Faraway Cottage, 1 Yellow Wagtail and 2 Choughs over. (D Parker)

Davidstow: Juv Pectoral Sandpiper with Ringed Plovers and Dunlin at the eastern end of the airfield by the blockhouse. (C Selway)

Devoran Creek: 130+ Curlew, 180+ Redshank, 6 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Whimbrel, 6 Greenshank, c30 Oystercatcher, 2 Knot, 3 Ringed Plover, 3 Dunlin, 1 Common Sandpiper, 25+ Mute Swan, 2+ Wigeon, 2 Little Egret and 1 Stock Dove at high tide. (D Chaney)
Hayle Estuary RSPB: Ad Little Gull, 17 Mediterranean Gull, 54 Curlew, 28 Black-tailed Godwit, 8 Ringed Plover, Bar-tailed Godwit, Redshank, 2+ Common Sandpiper and 2 f Ruff. (Sennen Cove Birdwatching) Also probable helice form of Clouded Yellow at Carnsew. (B Dodd)
