Falmouth, Pendennis Point: 5 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Red Necked Grebe, 2 Common Scoter (f) 2m off rocks, 2 Whimbrel, 1 Grey Wagtail and 14 Oystercatcher. (J St Ledger)

Par Beach Pool: A solitary Avocet at Par beach today, watched between 13:00 and 14:30 in the shallows and flying. Also on the pond there was 1 female Goldeneye, 3 Shoveller, 3 male and 1 female Gadwall and several Tufted duck. (G Moore)

College Reservoir: 9 Mute Swan, 30+ Canada Goose, 152 Wigeon, 29 Tufted Duck,7 Pochard, Black-necked Grebe, 5 Little Grebe, 53 Coot, 19 Moorhen, 11 Cormorant, 4 Grey Heron, 13 Snipe, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Firecrest, 3+ Chiffchaff, Fieldfare, Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker plus 5 Moorhen, 2 Mute Swans on the ponds below the dam. Argal Reservoir: 2 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mallard, 1 Grey Heron, 4 Moorhen, 27 Canada Geese in the fields and 8+ Song Thrush. (D Chaney)

Pendennis, Swanpool: 2 Red Necked Grebes in the bay, 3 Purple Sandpipers on the point., 3 Turnstones and a Little Egret on castle beach plus 100+ Shags feeding off Swanpool. 2 Bottle-nosed dolphins off Gyllngvase. (L Sampson)

Trescobeas Park: 4 Siskin with 6 Goldfinch and 4 Greenfinch, Green Woodpecker, 5 Redwing, Chiffchaff,  prob Woodcock in flight. The stubble field held 3 Snipe, 5+ Linnet, c.30 Meadow Pipit, 1 Skylark and 4 Song Thrush. (D Chaney)

Gorrangorras: 1 Greenshank, c.40 Redshank, 2 Little Grebe, 20+ Mallard, 3 Turnstone, 20+ Curlew, with a Razorbill and 2 more Little Grebes downstream roughly opposite the Greenbanks Hotel at high tide. The pony field held 10+ Redwing, c.5 each Blackbird and Song Thrush and 2 Mistle Thrush. (D Chaney)

Camel Estuary, Stepper Point: The probable 3rd winter American Herring Gull, still around the outer estuary, briefly following the Sand Snipe dredger, though distant late afternoon birds included 4 adult Med Gull, 22 Common Gull, 1 Common Scoter , 1 adult Peregrine Falcon and a female Melin (1 Harbour Porpoise, 5 Grey Seal) (C Selway)

Crugmeer: this afternoon, 2 Corn Bunting, 18 Yellowhammer, 2 Brambling, 200+ Chaffinch and 5 Reed Bunting. (C Selway)

Bishops Wood: 50+ Siskin, 1 Woodcock,1 Water Rail, 1 Kingfisher and a Dipper around mid-day. (C Selway)

Rosenannon Downs: 1 male Hen Harrier, 1 Merlin, 1 Reed Bunting. (L Webb)

Gerrans: 2 Waxwing still in gardens opp garage.(N Climpson)

Cubert: 10 Waxwing near Cubert this morning.

Newquay: Lesser Whitethroat ( poss eastern form) still in Asda car park near cash machine.

St Buryan: Balck Redstart at Tower Meadows.

St Just: Subalpine Warbler 1st w still on west side just north of Cape Cornwall St though elusive.

Kenidjack: Siberian Chiffchaff at the sewage works.

Truro: 2 Dipper at the leats.

Portscatho area: 2 Bramblings in Chaffinch flock, several Black-throated Divers and Great Northern Divers, 1 Red-necked Grebe, raft of 14 Common Scoter (N. Climpson)
