Late News 17/12 Swanpool: Possible Siberian Chiffchaff and Firecrest at Swanvale NR.
Marazion: Tawny Owl calling in the early hours. 39 Sanderling, 3 Oystercatcher and 2 Common Gull (ad & 1w) on the beach. (D Parker) 8 Black-throated Diver and 7 Great Northern Diver offshore plus 1 Firecrest, 2 male Blackcap and 1 male Reed Bunting in a private garden. (C Barnard)
Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8+ Mute Swan (including 4 juv), 36 Mallard, 25 Teal, 3 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 1+ Bittern (single bird seen at least 5 times), 1+ Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 9 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 5 Snipe, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Stonechat, 4 Chiffchaff and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. Dozmary: Ad drake Lesser Scaup on Dozmary Pool again.
Lower Porthpean: 12 Great Northern Divers and 5 Black-throated Divers.
St Just: Subalpine Warbler still in gardens around Princess Street TR19 7JG. Please respect the residents privacy.
Portscatho: 1w female Long-tailed Duck still.
Looe: Near adult Glaucous Gull again on Town Beach at 11:00.
