Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8 Mute Swan (including 4 juv), 4 Mallard, 19 Teal, 3 Little Grebe, 2 Bittern, 4 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 2+ Water Rail, 17 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 3 Oystercatcher, 5 Snipe, 1 Firecrest, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Bullfinch, 1 Green Woodpecker, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Stonechat and 2 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker, L Proctor & T Mills) 2 Otters crossed the road from Longrock Pool to the main marsh and Stoat with Rabbit kill on main marsh. (L Proctor & B Field) Firecrest reported from Longrock pool.

Newlyn: Black-necked Grebe, Great Northern Diver and Black Redstart in the harbour, plus Slavonian Grebe, 9 Great Northern Diver, male Black Redstart and Firecrest at Sandy Cove. (L Proctor & T Mills)

Carrick Roads: 15 Black-necked Grebes and 2 distant but very probable Surf Scoter from Loe Beach. (D Eva) Black-throated Diver also reported towards St Mawes. (D Chaney)

Falmouth Bay: 1 Red-necked Grebe and 200 Shags. (D Eva)

College Reservoir: 1 Bittern showing very well and 28+ Snipe, c150 Wigeon, 10 Goldeneye (2m 8f), 3 Gadwall (2m, 1f), 3 Pochard (2m, 1f), 6+ Little Grebe, single Teal, Mallard, Chiffchaff and Mistle Thrush. (D Eva & D Chaney)

St. Clement: 2 Spotted Redshanks, 3 Greenshank, 2 Firecrest and 1 Kingfisher. (D Eva)

Port Isaac: 2 Balearic Shearwater in Port Isaac Bay this afternoon. (T Potterton)

Drift Reservoir: Pink-footed Goose still in surrounding fields plus 8 Tufted Duck and 6 Gadwall. (S Maycock & T Mills)

Mousehole: Great Northern Diver, Guillemot, Black Redstart and Grey Wagtail. (S Maycock)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 2 Brent Geese from Quay House. (B Toms) Slavonian Grebe still in Carnsew Basin and a Kingfisher, plus 2 Med Gull (1w & ad), 1w Common Gull, 7 Grey Plover, Bar-tailed Godwits, 200+ Dunlin and Grey Wagtail on Lelant Water. (T Mills)

Gorran Haven: 7 Balearic Shearwater west off Vault Beach at 16:00. (M Jones)

Devoran: 1 Firecrest, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Bullfinch and 11 Black-tailed Godwit. (J St Ledger)

Truro River: c200 Dunlin near Tescos plus 8 Black-tailed Godwit 6 Redshank and Grey Wagtail between Tescos and the dam. (D Jenkins)

Pendeen: 2 Balearic Shearwaters plus a good passage of auks and Kittiwakes in one hour late morning. (A Hartley)

St Blazey: Black Redstart (fem) in Railway yard at 11:25 and a Great Spotted Woodpecker “drumming” nearby in trees on St Blazey Road on and off all morning. (D King)

Par Beach Pool: No sign of Ring-necked Duck during a brief search 14:00 – 14:30 however Black Swan present. (D King)

Porthpean: Velvet Scoter with approximately 48 Common Scoter late afternoon. (D King)

Stithians Reservoir: 1 Goldcrest, 3 Canada Geese, 1 Little Egret, 3 Cormorant, 6 Coot, 1 Little Grebe, 8 Tufted Duck, Wigeon and Pochard from the Stuart Hutchings hide. 3 Reed Bunting, 3 Greenfinch, Chaffinches, Goldfinches, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Blackbird, Woodpigeon, 1 Goldcrest, Coots and Wigeon from the southern cut-off. Hell’s Mouth: 90 Fulmar, 10+ Gannet, 48 Shag, 2 Oystercatcher, 50+ Herring Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull, 50+ Razorbill, 10 Jackdaw, 3 Raven, 3 Stonechat and 1 Dunnock. In addition 100’s of Fulmars and auks flying west. (S Taylor)

Padstow: Impressive numbers of mixed gulls feeding in the estuary plus 2 Little Grebes and the Black-necked Grebe feeding close to the ferry landing, at ship-me-pumps. (W Delacour)

Wadebridge: Waxwing, around Two Tree’s Estate, Wadebridge late afternoon. (C Selway)

Kenidjack: 1+ Siberian Chiffchaff at the sewerage works still also 3+ Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, Grey Wagtail, Pied Wagtail. Field opposite held 40+ Redwings and a Raven over. (T Mills)

Men-an-Tol: 2+ Short-eared Owls, 1ad male Hen Harrier and 1 Barn Owl 16:00-17:00. (T Mills)

Carbis Bay: 2 Balearic Shearwaters, many hundred Razorbills, with ‘few’ Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Gannets and 2w Med Gull. (T Mills)

Jubilee Pool, Penzance: 32 Turnstone at 13:00. (T Mills)

Argal Reservoir: 2 Great Crested Grebe, 12 Tufted Duck and 42+ Black-headed Gull. (D Chaney)

Pendennis, Falmouth: 2 Purple Sandpipers on the rocks plus Fulmar, 3 Kittiwake, c6 auk sp and a few Gannet flew west, a Mediterranean Gull and a Common Gull out to sea. (D Chaney)

Castle Beach, Falmouth: Med Gull on the rocks attending an Oystercatcher. Also 16 Turnstone and 6 Ringed Plover on Swanpool Point. (D Chaney)

Gorrangorras, Penryn River: Male and female Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Greenshank, 20+ Mute Swan, 3 Little Grebe and 6 Little Egret. Also 80+ Redwing in the pony field. (D Chaney)

Falmouth: 3 Firecrests on Pennance Road at 11:10.

Helston: 2 Firecrests at the sewerage works.

Porthpean: 1 Black-throated Diver and 15 Great Northern Divers.

St Austell: Drake Ring-necked Duck still at Charlestown lower pond.

Looe: 4 Slavonian Grebes and 2 Great Northern Divers.

Kenidjack: Unconfirmed report of an unaged Caspian Gull in field near farm.
