Late News 12/01 Pendarves Wood and lake: 2 Mallard, 5 Little Grebe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 6 Moorhen, 3 Wood Pigeon, 4 Jackdaw, 5 Goldcrest, 2 Coal Tit, 4 Long-tailed Tit, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Wren, 7 Blackbird, 10 Redwing, 4 Robin and 1 Goldfinch. (S Taylor)

Late News 12/01 Hell’s Mouth: 84 Fulmar, 4 Cormorant, 9 Shag, 1 Kestrel, 1 Oystercatcher, 80 Herring Gull, 3 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Magpie, 50+ Jackdaw, 2 Carrion Crow, 2 Raven, 1 Skylark, 4 Wren, 1 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush and 1 Dunnock. (S Taylor)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 10 Mute Swan (including 4 juv), 3 Greylag, 2 hybrid geese, 27 Mallard, 32 Teal, 5 Little Grebe, 1 Bittern, 1 Little Egret, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Water Rail, 16 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 35 Golden Plover over, 18 Snipe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Stonechat, 1 Goldcrest and 1 Chiffchaff. Eastern Green, Penzance: 166 Lapwings and 24 Redwings in field north of the KFC roundabout. (D Parker)

Men-an-Tol: Ringtail Hen Harrier, 3 Short-eared Owls and 2 Woodcock at dusk. (R Menari)

Tresillian: 1 Spotted Redshank feeding in the main river near Tresemple Pool at 13:00. (M Jones)

Helston boating lake: 10 Shoveler, plus apparent hybrid drake tufted duck x Ring-necked Duck still present. (D Eva)

Stithians Reservoir: 55 Canada Geese, 42 Wigeon, 2 Gadwall, 46 Teal, 16 Mallard, 13 Pochard, 27 Tufted Duck, 1 Long-tailed Duck, 6 Goldeneye, 2 Cormorant, 15 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Buzzard, 2 Water Rail, 4 Moorhen, 41 Coot, 6 Snipe, 55 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Gull, 29 Herring Gull, 4 Wood Pigeon, 2 Magpie, 5 Carrion Crow, 1 Raven, 3 Blue Tit, 2 Great Tit,2 Wren, 3 Blackbird, 1 Fieldfare, 3 Robin, 2 Stonechat, 2 Dunnock, 7 House Sparrow, 50 Chaffinch, 4 Greenfinch, 8 Goldfinch, 1 Bullfinch and 4 Reed Bunting. Lizard: 2 Lapland Bunting near Lizard Point and a Short-eared Owl along the Kynance road. (S Bury & T Blunden)

Carrick Roads: 11 Red-breasted Mergensers and 12 Black-necked Grebe, plus, 2 Great Northern Divers off Pill Creek. (K Hambly) Also 26 Black-necked Grebe and 2 Great Northern Divers reported.

St Ives Bay: 9-15 Balearic Shearwaters (within feeding flocks) – groups of 3 and 6 and numerous singles, 7 Red-throated Diver, 3 Great Northern Diver, 1-4 Med Gull (all adult winter), 2 Fulmar, 150 max Kittiwakes, Razorbills – widely dispersed throughout the entire bay, 2 Guillemot, 1 fem Eider, 2 Red-breasted Merganser (pair), 4 Curlew, 8 Dunlin, 5 Ringed Plover and 1 Black Redstart between 08:30 and 16:00. Also 1 Harbour Porpoise at 10:15 and5 Bottlenose Dolphins from 11:00 til at least 16:30. (A Colenutt, Kevin Bainbridge and Phil Dutt)

St Austell Bay: 56 Common Scoter, 8 Great Crested Grebe ,5 Black-throated Diver and 1 Great Northern Diver. (B Mellow)

St Austell: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Chiffs and 5 Goldcrests at Menagwins sewage treatment works. (B Mellow)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 260+ Curlew in to roost from main estuary late afternoon. Also around 80 Lapwing and 12 Redshank. (D King)

St Erth: Between 16:30 and 17:00 a huge number (c200,000) of Starlings gathered at the Industrial Estate. Failed attempts by a Buzzard to grab an easy meal meant the Starlings were mobile and were still in the general area at dusk. (D King and G Charman)

Penzance: 3 Black Redstart at Chyandour and 14 Purple Sandpipers on the Lighthouse Pier (Sennen Cove Birdwatching) Great Northern Diver offshore.

Colliford Lake: The adult drake Lesser Scaup still on the Loveny Reserve.

St Just: Subalpine Warbler still in gardens around Princess Street TR19 7JG. Please respect the residents privacy.

Kenidjack: 2 Siberian Chiffchaff at the sewerage works.

Newlyn: Black-necked Grebe and 1 Great Northern Diver still in the harbour. (D King) Slavonian Grebe and Black Redstart at Sandy Cove.

Sennen: Siberian Chiffchaff still at Brew sewerage works.

Portscatho: Long-tailed Duck, Slavonian Grebe and Great Northern Diver.
