Late News 17/01 Looe: Iceland Gull on fish market roof.

Late News 17/01 Falmouth Bay: Slavonian Grebe and Black-throated Diver.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 6 Mute Swan (including 2 juv), 4 Mallard, 19 Teal, 3+ Little Grebe, 1+ Cormorant, 2+ Bittern (1 in morning & 2 at mid day), 1+ Little Egret, 2 Grey Heron, 2+ Water Rail, 21 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 1 Sparrowhawk (killing a snipe, photos here), 3 Oystercatcher, c50 Snipe, 1 Stonechat and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. Marazion: 43 Sanderling and 2 Stonechat on the beach. (D Parker)

Predannack: 5 Lapland Bunting,  male Hen Harrier and 400+ Golden Plover near Predannack Wollas. (S Bury)

St Ives Bay: 3 Balearic Shearwaters (feeding in bay), 3 Red Throated Divers, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Fulmar, 1 Eider, 3 Turnstone, 10+ Cormorants, 2 Guillemots, 1,000’s Razorbills and 1 Oystercatcher from 09:00-16:00. Penzance: 1 Black Redstart on rocks below the railway station. (F Hull)

Newlyn: Black-necked Grebe and Great Northern Diver in the harbour, plus 1 ad Med Gull and Black Redstart in Sandy Cove. (S Maycock & A Mackechnie)

Stithians Reservoir: 1w drake Long-tailed Duck, 1 Wigeon, 2 Teal, 2 Mallard, 65 Tufted Duck,1 Little Grebe, 8 Goldeneye ( 2 drakes), 10 Shoveler, 1 Buzzard, 2 Water Rail, 2 Moorhen, 6 Coot, 1 Wood Pigeon, 1 Magpie, 1 Blue Tit, 1 Wren, 3 Blackbird, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Redwing, 1 Robin, 2 Chiffchaff,  8+ Reed Bunting and 1 male Sparrowhawk. Falmouth: 3 Blackcap (2 male, 1 female), 2 Blue Tit, 1 Great Tit, 1 Coal Tit, 1 Marsh Tit, 2 Collared Dove, 1 Robin, numerous Dunnock and 40+ House Sparrow in a private garden. (J & J St Ledger)

Looe: 3 Sanderling on rocks, 4 Med Gull, 12 Slavonian Grebe and 4 Great Northern Diver at Hannafore Point. (M Beer)

St Just: Western Subalpine Warbler still in gardens around Princess Street TR19 7JG. Please respect the residents privacy.

Kenidjack: 1 Siberian Chiffchaff and 1 Firecrest at the sewerage works.

Portscatho: Long-tailed Duck, 2 Black-throated Divers and 1 Slavonian Grebe.

Carrick Roads: 21 Black-necked Grebes off Feock.

St Johns: Drake Green-winged Teal at St John’s Lake in the creek by the sewerage outfall.

Carbis Bay: Slavonian Grebe at 10:00.
