Late News 27/02 Church Farm, The Lizard: Short-eared Owl picked up injured and taken to the Screech Owl Sanctuary. (A Pay) It has now been to the vets and had an x-ray and sadly has a very badly broken wing which cannot be fixed enough for the bird to be able to be released. All is not lost as the owl will be given a home at the Screech Owl Sanctuary with the resident pair Henry and Stella. (M Whittaker)

Marazion: Red-throated Diver offshore towards Long Rock. (D Parker) Strong movement of Black-headed gulls with at least 1,000 birds passing through between 10:00 and 13:00. associated with these were at least 15 Med Gulls including several pristine summer adults. Late News 21/02 Stithians Reservoir: 1w Iceland Gull again, off the southern causeway in the afternoon.

Marazion Marsh RSPB:  5 Mute Swan (including 1 immature),  5 Greylag, 2 Canada Geese, 2 hybrid geese, 5 Mallard, fem Gadwall, 15 Teal, 1 Little Egret, 5 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 4 Little Grebe, 12 Moorhen, 1 Water Rail, c10 Snipe, 1 Oystercatcher and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker)
