Late News 31/01 Padstow area: Flock of c70 Yellowhammers. (C Mucklow)

Late News 31/01 Carrick Roads: Redhead Smew and 15+ Black-necked Grebes off point at Restronguet Creek and possible Little Auk off Mylor Churchtown.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 9 Mute Swan (including 4 juv), 1 Greylag, 8 Mallard, 1 Shoveler, 58 Teal, 4 Little Grebe, 4 Cormorant, 1+ Bittern, 1 Little Egret, 4 Grey Heron, 1 Buzzard, 1 Sparrowhawk, 4+ Water Rail, 15 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 3 Oystercatcher, c25 Snipe, 1 Raven, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Cetti’s Warbler and 1 Chiffchaff. Hayle Estuary RSPB: Ad Common Tern still around Carnsew Basin. 4 Goosanders, 3 male Shovelers and 9+ Med Gulls on Lelant Water. (D Parker)

Cot Valley: 3 Choughs at the seaward end. (B Dodd)

Kelynack: 1 Water Rail above the campsite.(B Dodd)

Drift Reservoir (members only): 158 Canada Geese, 1 greylag, 3 hybrid geese,40+ Mallard, 7 Teal, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Grey Heron, 2 Cormorant, 2 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Barn Owl and 2 Bullfinch. (D Parker)

Marazion: 23 Red-throated Divers, 8 Black-throated Divers and 5 Great Northern Divers east of St Michael’s Mount. (M Ahmad)

Mount’s Bay: 3 Great Northern Diver, 2 Common Scoter, 66 Sanderling between Penzance and Marazion, no oiled birds found. (D Flumm)

Gwennap sewerage works: At least one Yellow-browed Warbler still present. (M Grantham)

Rosennanon Downs: 6 Lapland Buntings, 50+ Reed Buntings and a Peregrine Falcon in the morning. (C Selway)

Heamoor: 2 Firecrests. (F Hull)

Tintagel: 1 Little Auk resting on the sea for over 5 mins at 14:40, 1 male Eider, 1 Red-throated Diver and 1 Black throated Diver all moving west between 11:20 and 16:20. Also 1 Harbour Porpoise and a Seal. (B Craven)

Wadebridge: 1 Firecrest, 2 Nuthatch, 1 Coal Tit, 8 Blue Tit, 6 Great Tit, 3 Long Tailed Tit, 1 Jay, 1 Buzzard, 1 Pheasant ( male ), 6 Chaffinch, 4 Robin, 3 Blackbird,1 Wren, 5 Redwing and 2 Magpie at Hawke’s Wood. (C & B Travis)
