St Ives: 1 juv Shag, on rocks with twenty other shags at Brea Cove, SW483408 seen from Carn Naun point, west of St.Ives. (With telescope) This bird showing all the field characteristics of Phalacrocorax aristotelis desmarestii, the Mediterranean race.  It was all white below from chin to belly, with pale upper parts and very pale yellowish to flesh pink legs and feet. Stithians Reservoir: 1 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper, 2 Snipe, 2 Great Crested Grebe + 1 juv from Stuart Hutchings hide this morning. (J St Ledger photo)


Pendeen: 1 possible Cory’s Shearwater, but distant, 12 Sooty Shearwater, 25 Balearic Shearwater, 3 Great Skua, 1 ad W mediterranean Gull, 4 Peregrine, 1 Kestrel and 2 Raven.

Pendennis Point: 52 Manx Shearwater, 5 Common Scoter and 1 Sandwich Tern (D Chaney)
