Kingsmill Lake: 1 Spotted Redshank,18+ Black Tailed Godwits, 2 Dunlin, 5 Wigeon, 8 Teal,1 Grey Wagtail, 4 Chiffchaffs plus a steady flow of Swallow and House Martinflying south down the Tamar at about 60/hr. (C Ellis)

Penlee Point: 1 ad Sabine’s Gull, 2 juv Black Tern, 1 Arctic Tern, 1 Arctic Skua and 3 Manx Shearwater. (G Lewis)

Penlee CWT Reserve: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler with Long-tailed Tit flock, 1 f Pied Flycatcher and 2 Spotted Flycatcher. (G Lewis)

Military Road: 1 Wheatear, 1 Whinchat and 1 Hobby hunting hirundines which were estimated at about 5000 birds an hour were moving east along the coast with about 95% Swallow, 4% House Martin and 1% Sand Martin. (G Lewis)

Cot Valley: 1 American Golden Plover around Hendra but mobile. Also 3 Pied Flycatcher, 2 Spotted Flycatcher and 1 Lesser Whitethroat. (P Taylor)

Duckpool Valley, nr. Bude: 1 Blackcap, 1 Tawny Owl calling continually for 10 minutes from a dense thicket at 1pm, 120+ Swallows moving south plus c25 House Martins, 1 Grey Wagtail, 3 Stonechats (1 male), 1 Raven, 4 Magpies, 1 Jay and c40 Jackdaw. (H Kendall)

Hayle Estuary: 1 Black-winged Stilt still, plus 1 Osprey, 1 Peregrine, 1 Little Stint, 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 12 Bar-tailed Godwit, 32 Common Redshank, 53 Ringed Plover, 42 Dunlin, 18 Little Egrets, 12 Grey Heron, 7 Mediterranean Gull, 3 Common Gull, 4 Grey Wagtail and 200+ Swallow. (MO)

Freathy, nr Torpoint: Hirundine passage east today at a rate of c 50 per minute, including groups of 50-100 . From dawn until 10:00 upwards of 7000 all passed east , then numbers dropped to a few when rain became heavier, tailing off to nothing by 16:00. (M Jordan)
