Late news 13/10 Hayle Estuary RSPB: 700+ Wigeon, 400+ Teal, 2 Shelduck, 3 Pintail, 21 Bar-tailed Godwits, 35 Common Redshank, 2 Greenshank, 2 Brent Geese (pale bellied and dark bellied) 3 Mediterranean Gull and 2 Common Gull. (V Stratton) Also of interest, a ringed Mediterranean Gull seen on the estuary today, which had been reported from the same site on ten occasions since Oct 2011, was ringed as a pullus at Csongrád, Hungary on 5th June 2011. Lizard Village: 1 juv Rose-coloured Starling, 1 juv Swallow, 2 Wheatear, 185 Linnet, 1 Peregrine, 2 Blackcap and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull. (M Adkins)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Mute Swan, 5 Teal, 17 Mallard, 1 Wigeon, 2 Cormorant, 4 Little Egret, 7 Grey Heron, 1 Little Grebe, 16 Moorhen, 2+ Water Rail, 1 Stonechat, 1 Wheatear, c20 Meadow Pipit and 2 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker)
