Interesting Pipit? Last Sunday a group of birders found a Pipit that showed mixed characteristics. I stumbled upon the group, grabbed a couple of photos before it flew out of sight. It hasn’t been refound in the area (Tolcarne to Newlyn harbour). Debate still continues on the bird’s identity and so we are putting up a series of pictures here for comment. Please contact the County Recorder, Dave Parker,  through bird-news@cbwps.org.uk with any thoughts. First two are my pix, the one I put on the web on Sunday and a second, poor, image but at least it shows the rump. The next two pictures are Brian Mellows’ and the 3rd pair are Richard Augarde’s.
