Late News, 22/08, Penzance to Wolf Rock: 2 Balearic Shearwater, 2 Guillemot were the only auks seen. Steady flow of Manx Shearwaters, 1 Minke Whale, 1 Common Dolphin, 3 Barrel Jellyfish. (B Craven & D Curtis)

Late News, 22/08, Wolf Rock to Penzance: Good numbers of  Manx Shearwaters flying in various directions, presumably feeding, 10 Fulmar, 1 Sunfish, 6 Common Dolphin and 1 Seal. (B Craven & D Curtis)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Mute swan, 10 Mallard, 1 Cormorant, 6 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 32 Moorhen, c50 Swallow, 1 Stonechat plus Reed and Sedge Warblers. Also 2 Clouded Yellows and 1 dead Buzzard on the railway, presumably struck by a train. (DK Parker)

Porthgwarra: 1 Marsh Harrier hunting fields by 3 Chimneys Cottage at 09:00. (H Bradshaw) Also female Pheasant with 3 chicks feeding around fringe of reeds on cliff above Porth Loe, 5 Whitethroats, 6 Clouded Yellow butterflies including 1 Helice. St Gothian Sands LNR: 1 Coot, 1 Common Sandpiper, 3 Swift, c6 Sand Martin, c35 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 2 Chiffchaff, 3 Stonechat, 3 Wheatear, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 1 Rock Pipit and c45 Linnet. (MJ Spicer)

Penzance Pelagic: 3 Balearic Shearwater, 1 Arctic Skua, 1 Bonxie, 3 juv Yellow-legged Gull, 2 Arctic Tern, 2 Med Gull, 4 Storm Petrel, 4 Risso’s Dolphin, 2 Common Dolphin and 1 Ocean Sunfish.
