Tony Mills:  We are very pleased to report that Tony is now safely back in Penzance with his loving wife, where he is building up his strength for the first big bird of the autumn. Welcome home Tony!

Late news 2/10 Marazion Marsh: 1 Bittern. (per DS Flumm)

Porthgwarra: 45 Balearic Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwater and 1 Manx Shearwater between 08:00-10:15. (R Carrington & DK Parker) 84 Balearic Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwater, 1 Common Scoter and 4 Kittiwake west past between 13:20 – 15:20. (P Clement, MJ Spicer) Also 56 between 15:00 and 16:15 and 19 between 17:00 and 17:45. Hooded Crow still at Roskestal Farm.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Mute Swan, 22 Mallard, 12 Teal, 1 Garganey (Longrock Pool), 1 Pintail, 2 Little Grebe, 1 Bittern, 7 Grey Heron, 15 Little Egret, 2 Water Rail, 44 Moorhen, 2 Coot, 2 Snipe, 1 Kestrel, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Stonechat, 2 Cetti’s Warbler and 6 Clouded Yellow butterflies including 1 helice form. Marazion Beach: 1 Manx Shearwater close off Long Rock. (A Mckechnie – photos) Also 1 Balearic Shearwater past at 13:45.

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 73 Dunlin, 2 Little Stint and 1 Curlew Sandpiper on Ryan’s Field. (DS Flumm)

RSPB Scillonian wildlife Cruise: 1 Sooty Shearwater, 1 Manx Shearwater, 1 Balearic Shearwater, c110 Gannet, 4 Common Scoter, 24 Herring Gull, 12 Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Sandwich Tern, 2 Guillemot between Penzance and Wolf Rock. 1 Balearic Shearwater, 29 Gannet, 19 Herring Gull, 9 Great Black-backed Gull, 7 Guillemot and 5 Bottlenose Dolphin between Wolf Rock and Penzance. (P Clarke)

Torpoint: 1 Curlew Sandpiper.

Church Cove: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler, (reported as near Mullion but suspect it is actually the Church Cove by Lizard Village).

Jupiter Point: 1 Spoonbill.
