Sancreed: 1 Black Redstart (new bird = 4th here this autumn), 1 Firecrest, 1 Goldcrest, 10 Snipe, 18 Skylark, 2 Stonechat and in one hour 0800-0900 an easterly movement of 133 Redwing, 47 Fieldfare & 9 Blackbird. (D Flumm)

Pendeen: 1 1w Isabelline Shrike (probably Turkestan Shrike) showing very well at midday. (D Eva) Pictures of this Shrike have been circulated around several ‘experts’ from across Europe, their considered opinion is that this shrike is the subspecies L isabellinus phoenicuroides, Turkestan Shrike.

Hayle Estuary RSPB Reserve, Ryan’s Field: 80+ Lapwing, 1 Golden Plover, 1 Water Rail in front of hide, 1 Kingfisher, 3 Black-tailed Godwit and 1 Jay flew over.  Estuary: 200+ Lapwing, 50 Redshank, 1 Bar-headed Goose (no rings on legs ) and  2 ad and 8 young Mute Swan. (D Jenkins)

Marazion Marsh RSPB Reserve: 2 Mute Swan, 19 Teal, 32 Mallard, 4 Little Grebe, 32 Moorhen, 1 Coot, 5 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 1 Bittern, 14 Snipe, 5 Chiffchaff, 4 Cetti’s Warbler, 5 Meadow Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 White Wagtail, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Swallow, 1 Chiffchaff + 1 probable Siberian Chiffchaff, 7 Goldfinch, 2 Reed Bunting and 2 Stonechat.
