Late news, 11/4, Marazion Marsh RSPB: A party of 30+ House Martin briefly over reserve. (D Chadwick)

Wadebridge:Goosander (1m, 1f) one mile upstream on bank of R. Camel. (S Marquis)

Hayle Estuary RSPB, Copperhouse Creek: 3 Snipe. Lelant Water: 1w Ring-billed Gull, 1 ad Common Gull & 10 1w Mediterranean Gull. (D Flumm) Others had 23 Sandwich Tern, 13 Knot and 1 Grey Plover. Ryan’s Field: 4 Little Egret, 12 Redshank, 8 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Oystercatcher, 4 Canada Geese, 2 Shelduck. (D Flumm) Others had 1 Little Ringed Plover.

St Gothian Sands NR: 3 Wheatear, 22 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow and 1 ad Lesser Black-backed Gull, L.f.intermedius which in the field looked as black as Great Black-backed and had me thinking of Baltic Gull, L.f.fuscus. However, photos (1 attached) showed it to be not jet black and head shape fitted L.f.intermedius too. It was certainly blacker than our own British Lesser Black-backed Gull race L.f.graellsii which were also present. (D Flumm)

Bude, Maer Lake NR: 2 (m&f)  Wigeon. 2m & 2f Lesser Black-backed Gull and 5 juvenile and  30+ Herring Gull flock. (D Hastilow)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 7 Mute Swan, 2 hybrid geese, 6 Mallard, 5 Teal, 1 Cormorant, 2 Little Egret, 7 Grey Heron, 11 Moorhen, 1 Swallow, c50 Sand Martin, 45 Cetti’s Warbler, 1 Reed Warbler (heard only) and 2 Chiffchaff. (DK Parker)
