Public Storm Petrel Ringing Session: This Saturday night (15th) West Cornwall Ringing Group will run a public Storm Petrel ringing session at Southerly Point, Lizard. Anyone is invited to come along for the rare opportunity to see these birds up close. We will be based in the small car park at Southerly Point (by Polpeor cafe) from 11:30pm until the early hours of Sunday morning, so no need to walk anywhere! If parking spaces fill up here it should be possible to park in the small car park on the right before reaching the point.

Mounts Bay, Chyandour to Long Rock beach:  c120 Ringed Plover, c80 Sanderling, c30 Dunlin, 1 Sandwich Tern, 14 Mediterranean Gull and 7 Wheatear. (P St Pierre)

Hayle Estuary RSPB, Lelant Saltings: 7 Teal, 7 Ringed Plover, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 1 Curlew Sandpiper, 20 Dunlin, 1 Greenshank and 7 Mediterranean Gull. (MJ Spicer) Also 1 Ring-billed Gull reported again

Penryn River: 1 Mediterranean Gull, 2 Sandwich Tern, 1 Whimbrel, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit (male in summer plumage), 5 Greenshank, 39 Redshank, 52 Curlew, 2 Dunlin, 1 Ringed Plover, 2 Turnstone, 5 Oystercatcher and 1 Kingfisher. (J St Ledger)
