Newlyn, Sandy Cove: 1 Siberian Chiffchaff, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Firecrest, 1 Goldcrest and 1 Great Northern Diver off shore. (B Dodd, L Proctor, T Mills)

Mousehole: 1 Red-necked Grebe, 1 Great Northern Diver, 6 Oystercatcher, 1 Little Egret and 1 Kingfisher. (B Dodd, B Mellow, R Augarde, T Mills)

Bude: 1 Grey Heron, 13 Turnstone, 2 Oystercatcher and 1 m Stonechat. (H Wilkins)

Hayle Estuary RSPB Reserve, estuary: 1 Spoonbill, c120 Dunlin, c25 Mediterranean Gull, 8 Meadow Pipit, 1 Linnet and 1 redhead (probably juvenille) Goosander. Ryan’s Field: 1 Spoonbill,  3 Dunlin, 2 Moorhen, 4 Meadow Pipit and c75 Lapwing. (R Veal)

Sancreed: 1 Firecrest in my garden. In fields, 1w Ring-billed Gull again, 3 Mediterranean & 2 Common Gull, 30 Skylark and the individual I saw here on 29th November which I reported as “a thrush-sized leucistic bird looking uniform (upperwing, mantle, rump & tail concolorous) bright orange(!) in today’s light flew west with thrushes over fields” was relocated c500m west and is in fact a flavistic Redwing. It flew up to perch momentarily in a hedgerow showing pale yellow-orange plumage with paler yellow wings and supercilium. It called a soft “gack” as it did so confirming its identity – as it doesn’t look anything like a Redwing otherwise! (D Flumm)
