Late news 12/4 Hayle Estuary: 2w Ring-billed Gull again.

Little Treleaver: 1 singing Iberian Chiffchaff still. (J Foster)

Boat Cove: 1 Hudsonian Whimbrel still.

Lizard Point: 1 1w Ring-billed Gull past east am, also 12 Common Scoter, 1 Arctic Skua, 1 Great Skua and 14 Puffin. Also Serin flew north towards the village this evening. (A Blunden)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 1 pair of Garganey on Lelant Saltings (I Webster), later flew to Carnsew Basin (P Freestone) and then to the outer wall of Carnsew Basin along the river channel. (C Barnard) Also 14 Shelduck, 1 Sparrowhawk, 2 Grey Plover, 13 Oystercatcher, 9 Sandwich Tern and 3 Swallow on the main estuary and 1 juv Spoonbill on Ryan’s Field. (DK Parker)

Marazion Marsh RSPB Reserve: 6 Mute Swan, 4 Canada Geese, 7 Teal, 7 Mallard (plus a new brood of 7 ducklings), 2 Cormorant, 1 Little Grebe, 9 Little Egret, 8 Grey Heron, 14 Moorhen, 2 Stonechat, 2 Reed Bunting and 3 Cetti’s Warbler. (DK Parker)
