Will birders looking for the Pelican please park sensibly.

Late news, Newquay, Whitecross: 1 Red Kite 11am, being mobbed by crows, flew towards St Columb Major. 1 Yellowhammer, 6 Swallow, 4 House Martin, 3 Goldfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 32 Sparrow and 200+ Herring Gull feeding in open field. (D Thomas)

Trevorian Pool: 1 Dalmatian Pelican soaring overhead at 14:15 hours. (A Perry, N Wheatley, and L and R Wilkins)

Lands End area: 1 Dalmatian Pelican. (J St Ledger) later seen over area Polgigga/ Brew Pool/ Sennen but last seen mid afternoon. Also 1 m Serin still in horse paddock by car park and 5 Turtle Dove. Plus 22 Linnet, 1 Redpoll, 1 Redwing, c40 Collared Dove, 1 Little Egret, 1 Barn Owl, c30 Swallow, c60 House Martin, 3+ Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Whinchat, c8 Whitethroat, 1 Blackcap, 5 Chiffchaff and 3 Sedge Warbler. Hayle Estuary RSPB Reserve: 1 imm Spoonbill again on the Estuary.

Penzance: 1 Osprey flying over Tesco’s car park towards the harbour being mobbed by several Herring Gulls. (J Hawkey) Also 4 Great Northern Diver and 2 Puffin off the Gear Pole also 10 Common Dolphin.  (P St Pierre)

Croft Pascoe: 3 Cuckoo (on one occasion all flying and calling together), 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Hobby + numerous willow warblers, chiffchaffs, goldfinches. (J Lander)
