Late news, 3/8, evening, West Looe river: 3 Common Sandpiper in small flock moving about together, 12 Swift, 1 Kingfisher, 12 Little Egret, 7 Mute Swan not including 2 adults with 4 large cygnets. (R Hurrell).

Late news, 3/8 evening, Hannafore: 1 Common Sandpiper heard (R Hurrell).

Downderry, seawatching 0600-0740: 330 Manx Shearwater, 2 Balearic Shearwater, 50 Storm Petrel and 5 Kittiwake moving west. A Common Scoter and a Mediterranean Gull flew east. Seawatch1830-1935: 195+ Manx Shearwater, 1 Balearic Shearwater and 6 Storm Petrel flying west. (A Payne)

Bartinney clay pit:  1 Willow Warbler with four fledglings, 2 (m&f) Emperor Dragonfly, 1 Peacock butterfly and  1 Wall Brown butterfly. (A James)

Hayle Estuary RSPB, Lelant Saltings: 2 Sandwich Tern, 8 Redshank and 2 Greenshank. Ryan’s Field: 1 Whimbrel, 1 Common Sandpiper, and 2 ad Mediterranean Gull. (R Veal) Carsew Basin: 1 Dalmatian Pelican mid-afternoon then flew off ENE.

Perranuthnoe: 1 Hudsonian Whimbrel again at Boat Cove.

Pendeen seawatch, (0730-0940): 2 Great Shearwater, 6 Cory’s Shearwater, 5 Sooty Shearwater and 8 European Storm-petrel.
