Notice: the water level at Maer Lake, Bude, is currently very low as there is a major problem with the main outfall sluice. The sluice is hopefully being moved on Friday 6th January and water levels will remain low till then at least. (G Sutton per P McVey)

Boat Cove, Perranuthnoe: Hudsonian Whimbrel still present, 1 Purple Sandpiper, 1 Mediterranean Gull. (M Bailey).

Drift Reservoir: 1 Black-necked Grebe, 1 Cattle Egret in Sellan Farm fields, 270 Canada Goose. (R Butts, T Pinfield) Earlier, 3 Cattle Egret reported at Sellan Farm.

Mount’s Bay, viewed from Jubilee Pool, Penzance: 1 Black-throated Diver, 2 Red-throated Diver, probably 23 Great Northern Diver (inc 12 in a group just off Sandy Cove), 15 Purple Sandpiper, 12 Ringed Plover, 10 Sanderling. (R Butts, T Pinfield) Also 1 Red-necked Grebe and 3 Velvet Scoter.
