Late news, 17 & 18/7, Saltash to Truro and back: Road mortalities observed: 2 Buzzard, 2 Magpie (fledglings), 3 Wood pigeon, 1 Rook or Crow, 1 Pheasant, 1 Polecat, 2 Hedgehog, 1 Deer sp, 4 Badger, 1 Fox, 2 Rabbit.  1 ad Herring Gull (wing injury but alive). (R Hurrell)

Late news, 17/7, Gribbin Head: About 40 Gannet diving over a pod of about 15-20 Common Dolphin, several with 1/3 to ½ sized young c5 miles offshore. (R Hurrell)

Late news, 18/7, Mylor and shoreline towards Trefusis Pt: 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Curlew, 4 Little Egret, 10+ House Martin, Pair Swallow feeding young. (R Hurrell)

Late news, 21/7, Maer Lake: 2 Red Knot, 2 Wood Sandpiper, 1 Snipe, 2 Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Redshank, 12 Dunlin, 6 Lapwing, 50+ Black-headed Gulls, 2 Swift, 4 Sand Martin & 10+ Swallows. (C & T Nicholson, J White)

Nanjizal: 58 birds ringed including 20 Sedge Warbler, 8 Reed Warbler, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Whitethroat, 4 Blackcap, 10 Willow Warbler and 2 Chiffchaff. (P Roseveare)

Porthgwarra: 1 Cory’s Shearwater, 15 Balearic Shearwater, 2000+ Manx Shearwater and 53 Med Gulls by 10:15, also Risso’s Dolphin and 1 Ocean Sunfish. (J Spinks) Later seawatch, 5 Balearic Shearwater past from 17:45-21:00.  Plus 1 Southern Migrant Hawker again by halfway wall pool also Small Pearl-bordered Frittillary between bridge and kissing gate. Stithians Reservoir:Wood Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 6 Common Sandpiper, 7 Lapwing, 4 Snipe, Wheatear and Sedge Warbler from Stuart Hutchings hide. (S Kolodziejski)

Walmsley Sanctuary: 1 Wood Sandpiper, 3 Green Sandpiper, 1 Common Sandpiper, 10 Lapwing, 2 Stock Dove, 4 Gadwall and 6 ducklings, 1 Shoveler, 1 ad m White Wagtail from tower hide. (R Veal) Note: work parties start on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm so please expect some disturbance.

Argal Reservoir: 9 adult Great Crested Grebe and 2 broods of 2 and 1 chick, 2 Mute Swan with 4 cygnets, 1 Kingfisher, 40 Mallard (D Eva)

College Reservoir: 4 adult Great Crested Grebe and 1 brood of 2 chicks, 2 still incubating nests, 2 Mute Swan with 3 cygnets , 11 Coot including 1 juv. (D Eva)

Drift Reservoir: Dunlin, 4 Common Sandpiper, 2 Teal. (M Wallace)

Pendeen: 6 Mediterranean Gull (5 ad 1 juv), 1 juv Yellow-legged Gull, 2 Balearic Shearwater, 1 European Storm Petrel, 3 Harbour Porpoise & 1 Basking Shark. (B Bosisto, P Roseveare)

Mount Hawke: 1 juv Robin at 09.00. (RB Girling)

Tywardreath: 4 Bullfinch ( 1 male, 1 female, 2 young), 2 Dunnock (1 young being fed by adult), 1 young Robin ground feeding on spill from feeders, 1 young Greenfinch. (R. Barlow)

Mount’s Bay, Mermaid II pelagic: 300 Manx Shearwater, 3 Storm Petrel, 1 Great Skua, 7 Common Scoter, 1 juv Yellow-legged Gull and 70+ Mediterranean Gull. (M Elliot)

Hayle Estuary RSPB, Ryan’s Field: 1 Common Sandpiper.

Maer Lake: 2 Shelduck, 3 Teal, 6 Dunlin, 1 Common Snipe, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 75 Swallow. (S Gale)

Tregonetha Downs: 1 Barn Owl, several Snipe heard only. (S Grose)
