(T Mills) Plus in a Penzance garden:  6 Redwing feeding on myrtle berries, at least 4 Blackcap   A Magpie seen in a beech tree dismembering and eating a dead shuttlecock!  I don’t know if the shuttlecock feathers were real or plastic but the magpie ate them all, leaving a small part of the shuttlecock that it flew off with. Late news, 24/10, Hayle Estuary RSPB: 3cy Med Gull (colour-ringed white 3YER) was ringed at Antwerpen, Brussels on 14/5/17. This is the 6th reported sighting, all have been at Hayle, except the first at Marazion on 17/7/17. (R Creek)
