Late News, 1/3, Tresillian; Private Garden in Polsue Way: 2 Bullfinch (m+f), 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Blackcap (m+f), 4 Long-tailed Tit (all coming to feeders in the snow), plus three small flocks of Lapwing flying over west. (A Nicholson)

Launceston: 9 Jack Snipe seen today in a snow-free flush in a meadow near Coads Green. Never seen this number of jack snipe together feeding in the open – wonderful sight. Also Lapwings, Fieldfares, Pied Wagtails and a single Ruff and Snipe feeding with them. (T & K Loe)
