Late News, 10/07, Rame Head: 1 Balearic Shearwater, 90 Manx Shearwater. (A Pearson)

Porthgwarra: 06:00 – 08:00 hrs. 3 Great Shearwater, 2 Sooty Shearwater west and a feeding flock of c1600 Manx and 550 Gannet 0.5 miles offshore for an hour from 06:00 before drifting west. Also c20 Common Dolphin & 15 Dolphin sp. (no balearics, petrels or skuas.) (D Flumm)  07:00 – 09:00hrs, 2 Great Shearwater, 3 Sooty Shearwater, 2 Storm Petrel,1 Bonxie. (M Wallace) 12:10-17:20hrs. 3 Cory’s Shearwater, 1 Great Shearwater, 8 Sooty Shearwater,  3 juv Yellow-legged Gull and 4000 Manx Shearwater.

Penlee Point seawatch (0905 – 1405): 420 Manx Shearwater and 3 Fulmar. (P Aley)

Rock, Porthilly Point: 1 Common Gull, 15 Sandwich Tern, 22 Mediterranean Gull, 1 Grey Plover (all birds on floating mussel crates with incoming tide). (S Grose)

Rame Head: 1 Balearic Shearwater past.

St Cleer: Hummingbird Hawk-moth – seen regularly over the past four weeks on Red Valerian (for the fourth year in succession). (R Frost)
