Monday 26th January 2015

Coverack: 4+ 1w Glaucous Gull still present around the harbour, 1 Great Northern Diver offshore. Many of the large gulls are colour-ringed, and in the last few days birds have been recorded from Falmouth, Skokholm, Portland, Looe Island, Guernsey and France. All records of these birds are useful, so anyone seeng any colour-ringed birds can report them to Coverack sewage works: 9 Chiffchaff and 1 Siberian Chiffchaff. (J Hawkey)

W043 W043 is from Skokholm Island W047 W047 is a bird ringed as a chick in Falmouth and has been spending ost of its time at Helston Boating Lake (reported as recently as 21st, before being seen at Coverack on 24th) DACDAC was ringed as a chick on Denny Island in the Bristol Channel off Pembrokeshire
