Mount Hawke: Unknown bat species at 13.30. First seen fluttering its wings when perched on overhead wires. Smallish, wing beat action quite fluttery, flight speed on slow side, flight path largely straight and horizontal flight at bungalow height. Overall flight mode quite unlike usual “garden-type” bat when they dash about at dusk. (RB & PC Girling)
