Garden Listing 2.0 1st December

Dobwalls: 30th November: Number 29 was a Tawny Owl calling last night.1st December: Saw and heard Mistle Thrush making alarm call, number 30 (Chris and Janet Duffy)

Polbathic: I’ve only been able to add 1; Raven, so that makes the final total 43.
Thanks for taking the time to make the last month more interesting. (Andy Blonden)

Mabe: 6 more over the past few weeks, despite not having much time to do any proper garden watching, up to 27 now. The fun one was a Meadow Pipit directly below the front window in the flower bed; at first I thought it was a mouse or similar as it was completely working its way under/through the bedding plants (well, weeds to be honest). A Grey Heron flying over was actually a garden year tick. Great Spotted Woodpecker (heard only), Raven, a Tawny Owl heard in the early hours one night whilst seeing how the moth trap was doing and Cormorants regularly overflying on their way to roost at College Reservoir. (Dan Chaney)

Tresillian: Final update from me: Long-tailed Tit and Tawny owl bringing the total to 34 (Andrew le Masurier)

Constantine: Have recounted all species seen in or from garden. There were no species heard only. It comes to 53. Never did see a house sparrow or collared dove! (Tim Pinfield)

Final Results: End of Lockdown. As can be seen, the grand winner is Dave Parker with 56 species from Marazion. Congratulations and good effort. Second place goes to Tim Pinfield with 53, a very respectable total for an inland location, and indeed well done everyone. We will compile and post the combined list within the next week or so. Any guesses as to the total?!
