Praa Sands: No new birds for a while until early this am with three Canada geese for 51, flying over. (Matt Southam)

Callestick: A very long overdue House Sparrow today took the list to 51. A near miss was a Cattle Egret that spent a few hours in a field by the house a few days ago. I only realised after it had gone that I could seen it from a certain spot in the garden! The undoubted highlight today though was my first ever Large Tortoiseshell. (Tony Wilson)
