Late news, 10/5, Ventonleague: 4 Red Kites were recorded. 1 at 09:25 moving south, 1 at 12:05 moving south, 1 at 12:47 moving east and 1 at 13:05 moving east. (J Rutter)

Large numbers of Red Kites were again seen today, mostly moving north and east out of the county; A detailed report will be published once all the data is in. Largest counts were:

Penzance: 86 Red Kites moving east but not looked for continuously. (P St Pierre)

Polgigga: 50+ Red Kites this morning. (M Wallace)

Sancreed: 37 Red Kite east 09:30-16:45 and as yesterday (when 113 flew east) most were juvenile (2nd cal year) birds and virtually all to south of village in lee of strong NE wind. (D Flumm)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 2 Red Kites, 2 Barnacle Geese and 5 Little Egrets early morning. (S Turner)

Gannel Estuary: 21 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Whimbrel. (M Lammas)

Charlestown: 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 m 2 juv 1 f Blackbirds, 3 Wood Pigeons, 4 Jackdaws, 2 Carrion Crows, 2 Magpies, 1 juv 2 Blue Tits, 2 Coal Tits, 2 Great Tits, 3 Robins, 1 Song Thrush. ( D Hastilow )

Tresillian River: c20 Swift, 1 Red Kite. (M Jones)

Tredrizzisk: 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 m Blackcap. (S Grose)

Rock: 3 Greenfinch, 5 Raven, 5+ Cattle Egret (in steep sided field with no clear view). (S Grose)

Stithians Reservoir: 1 Black-tailed Godwit , 1 fem Whinchat ,Reed Bunting, good numbers of swift and House Martins. (S Turner)
