Hayle Estuary RSPB: 1 Goosander, 1 Great Northern Diver, 191 Curlew, 28 Redshank, 21 Oystercatcher, 16 Bar-tailed Godwit, 2 Grey Plover, 1 Dunlin, 526 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 22 Herring Gull, 7 Great Black-backed Gull, 57 Black-headed Gull, 1 Common Gull and 1 ad Med Gull from Lelant Saltings platform over high tide this evening. Late News 05/02 Liskeard: 2 Waxwings in garden off Cherter Way.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 8 Mute Swan (including 4 juv), 4 Mallard, 28 Teal, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 11 Moorhen, 1 Coot, c15 Snipe, and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 1 Black Swan + 2 Adult Yellow-legged Gulls on Lelant Water plus 2 Water Pipits still in Copperhouse Creek in the morning. (F Hull & B Dodd) Probable 3w Azorean Gull (form atlantis) at 17:30 before flying off SW, plus 2ad and a 2w Yellow-legged Gull. Also Common Sandpiper in Hayle harbour.

Argal Reservoir: 2 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Tufted Ducks and 2 Mute Swan. Also a dead ringed Tawny Owl beside the path on the east side. (D Chaney)

Gorrangorras, Penryn River: Female Red-breasted Merganser roosting, 3 Greenshank, 30+ Redshank, 5+ Little Grebe, 3 Little Egrets. The Little Egrets were earlier feeding in a cattle field a couple of miles inland along with c20 Black-headed Gulls. (D Chaney)

Pendeen Watch: Little Auk on the sea, 5 Balearic Shearwaters, 1 Great Skua and 1 Puffin past between 09:00 & 10:15.

Helston, Loe Pool: Drake Ring-necked Duck and female type Common Scoter still at the northern end.

St Ives: Little Auk past the Island at 15:00.

Newlyn: Black Redstart still at Sandy Cove.
