Late News 10/10 College Reservoir: 6 Snipe. (D Chaney)

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 6 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 2 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan plus 4 cygnets, 33 Mallard, 1 Aylesbury Duck, 9 Teal, 21 ad & 3 juv Moorhen, 1 Little Grebe, 2 Water Rail, 1 Swallow,  2 Stonechat, 1 Chiffchaff and 2+ Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker & D Flumm)

Marazion Beach: 2 Sandwich Tern, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Dunlin and 1 White Wagtail. (D Parker & D Flumm)

Helston, Loe Pool: Great White Egret showing well on the edge of the reeds at the north end.  Also 4 Grey Heron, 15 Cormorant, 2 Tufted Duck, 1 Great Crested Grebe and 6+ Jay. Park at Degibna Chapel car park (cSW 653251) and walk north to view. (LGR Evans & D Parker)

Eastern Green, Penzance: Pale-bellied Brent Goose still offshore. (B Dodd & D Parker)

Church Cove, Lizard: Paddyfield Warbler still showing extremely well in the small quarry at cSW 713128. Still present just over the track at 17:45. (D Parker, L Proctor et al)

Housel Bay, Lizard: Juv Red-backed Shrike  in the hedgerow at cSW 704121. Also in the area 1+ Merlin, c40 Linnet, c10 Meadow Pipit, 2 Skylark, 5 Stonechat  and 1 Wheatear. (D Parker et al)

Nanquidno: Yellow-browed Warbler and Reed Warbler. (LGR Evans)

Helston Boating Lake: Drake Shoveller and 10 Mute Swans. (LGR Evans)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 17 Mute Swans, 1 Bar-railed Godwit and 2 Sandwich Terns. (LGR Evans & D Parker)

Mabe: Flock of 32 Goldfinches in a private garden in Mabe (H Adams)

Pendeen: 44 Balearic Shearwater, 9 Sooty Shearwater, 15 Manx Shearwater, 5 Great Skua, 35 Kittiwake, 356 Guillemot, 3 Razorbill and 1 Puffin between 16:00 & 18:15. (LGR Evans)

Falmouth: At Pendennis, 1 1w Med Gull flew past and the Whimbrel was on the east side, with 10+ Oystercatchers plus a few Goldcrests. Castle Beach had 1 Curlew and 1 Little Egret. Gyllyngvase had an adult Med Gull, a couple of Rock Pipits. (D Chaney)

Pennance Point: 1 Black Redstart, 2 Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Song Thrushes, with 50 Meadow Pipit up by the golf course, with a Wheatear and c.15 Pied and 2 White Wagtails. (D Chaney)

Swanpool: 1 Grey Wagtail. (D Chaney)

Lizard: 1w Ortolan Bunting in stubble fields between Lighthouse Road and Penmenner Road this morning. Yellow-browed Warbler still at Pistil Meadow and another in the village.

Tregeseal: Redstart by the stone bridge and a Yellow-browed Warbler from the road up the valley.

Nanquidno: Red-breasted Flycatcher reported at Nanjulian Farm at 11:00, also Yellow-browed Warbler and 2 Pied Flycatchers.

Cot Valley: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler.

Late News 08/10 Pendennis, Falmouth: 40 Kittiwakes west in 2 flocks. (D Chaney)

Pendeen: Olive-backed Pipit on the coast path south west of the coastguard cottages on the road down to the lighthouse at SW 376352. Also 2 Whinchats.

Lizard, Church Cove: Paddyfield Warbler showing well north of the village on the coastpath by the small quarry. Please park only in the church car park. Also Yellow-browed Warbler and Pied Flycatcher.

Lizard Point: Yellow-browed Warbler at Pistil Meadow at 16:50.

 Loe Pool, Helston: Great White Egret still in the reeds in the NE corner.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 7 Grey Heron, 3+ Little Egret, 2 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan plus 4 cygnets, 13 Mallard, 4 Teal, 4 ad Moorhen plus 5 juv, 30+ Curlew over,  5 House Martin, c30 Swallow, 2  Stonechat, 3 Reed Bunting, 1 Firecrest, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Cetti’s Warbler and 3 Reed Warbler. (D Parker) Spotted Crake reported again from the standing stone at 15:30.

Marazion: 60 Ringed Plover, 7 Turnstone, 13 Dunlin, 35 Sanderling, 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Wheatear and 6 White Wagtail on the beach. (DParker)

St Levan: 2 Spotted Flycatcher, 1 Willow Warbler and 1 Firecrest by the Church. (M Hallam)

Rame Head: 1 juv Barred Warbler in central clump of Penlee NR; 1 juv Ortolan Bunting in stubble field opposite pull in along Military road; Pied Flycatcher in trees by Rame Church; Firecrest in bushes at Forder, Rame near Hatt Lane turning; also female Redstart, 1 Willow Warbler, male Blackcap and 1 Whitethroat on Rame head. Tresillian: 20 Redshank, 5 Dunlin, 2 Common Sandpiper and plenty of Curlew on Tresillian River; 8 Greenshank, 32 Redshank, 8 Little Grebe, 1 Sparrowhawk, 1 Little Egret and 1 Grey Heron between 12:00 and 14:00 – approaching high water. (K & D Williams)

Davidstow: 2 Buff-breasted Sandpipers reported on the airfield in the morning. 1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper plus a Curlew Sandpiper mid afternoon.

Hayle Estuary RSPB: Little Stint at Copperhouse Creek at 14:00.

Kingsmill:Lesser Yellowlegs from the 2nd hide at the China Fleet Country Club, Old Ferry Road at SX 427608.

Kenidjack: Whinchat at the bottom of the valley.

Cot Valley: Pied Flycatcher at the top of the valley.
