Stithians Reservoir: further to problems we’ve been having with vandalism recently a decoy chain was put up on the gate to the Stuart Hutchings Hide last weekend and probably will go up this weeked too. Please replace as found (ie so the gate appears locked) when you leave the hides. If we go for a combination lock we will try and give advance warning and circulate the code number appropriately (eg in the website members’ area).Thanks.

Land’s End: Great White Egret flew from Swingates at 09:30 then dropped in again at 09:45 but could not be relocated. Late news, 30/10, Polgigga: 1 Short-toed Lark & 2 Lapland Buntings in field W of path between Bosistow & Higher Bosistow farms. Possible Sykes’s Wagtail (beema) briefly on roof of Higher Bosistow farm, also 2 Black Redstarts.
