Marazion Marsh RSPB: 3 Grey Heron, 2 Little Egret, 1 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan plus 4 cygnets, 17 Mallard, 1 Aylesbury Duck, 4 Teal, 12 ad Moorhen, 4 Little Grebe, 1+ Water Rail, 1 Stonechat and 1 Cetti’s Warbler. (D Parker) Glossy Ibis viewable from road at 15:40 then flew out of sight.

Draynes Wood, Upper Fowey: 5+ Nuthatch, 1 Treecreeper, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker and 2 Mistle Thrush. (D Parker)

Stepper Point: Long-tailed Skua in field at 11:00 but flushed by walkers and flew west, also 2 Merlin. 4 Balearic Shearwater, 1 Arctic Skua, 4 Shag, 2 Cormorant all flew west between 11:10 & 11:50. 60 Med Gulls between Stepper Point and Tregirls beach. (D Julian)

Kingsmill Lake, Saltash: 1 Spotted Redshank, 30+ Common Redshank, 10+ Black-tailed Godwit, 60+ Curlew, 17 Greenshank, 1 Dunlin, 3 Little Egrets, 1 Great Crested Grebe (still in summer plum), 1 Canada Goose, 20+ Wigeon, 20+ Teal, 1 Grey Wagtail, 80+ Black-headed Gull, 7 Herring Gull, 6 Oystercatcher, 5 Cormorant a couple Mallard and Mute Swan at c14:30. Rumps Point: 1,500+ Gannet flew SW in the first hour of daylight, plus 400+ Auk sp, 2 Great Skua, 1 ad Pom Skua, 1 Manx Shearwater, 3 Fulmar, 29 Shag, 3 Cormorant and 50+ Kittiwake. (C Selway)

St Ives: 2 ad Sabine’s Gull, Pom Skua, 3 Great Skua, 9 Balearic Shearwater and 5 Manx Shearwater.

Porthgwarra: Yellow-browed warbler still by Trevean Pool, 13 Balearic Shearwaters, 5 Sooty Shearwaters and Chough past between 09:20 and 12:20, Black Redstart in cove.

Lizard: Red-backed Shrike showing well on hedges around the Waterings at Housel Bay.

Carn Euny: 2 1w Glossy Ibis in flooded field 1 mile SW of Sancreed, west of Carn Euny car park

Land’s End: Wryneck stil on the cycle track in the afternoon.

Cot Valley: Yellow-browed Warbler on south side by garage with palm tree painting.

Trevose Head: 1 Woodlark.

Penberth: 1 Yellow-browed Warbler at seaward end of valley.

Pendeen: 5 Common Scoter, 9 Balearic Shearwater, 88 Sooty Shearwater, 2750+ Manx Shearwater, 22 Fulmar, 3 Whimbrel, 1 Bar-tailed Godwit, 5 Turnstone, 2 Sabine’s Gull (ad & juv), 3 Kittiwake, 6 Long-tailed Skua, 2 small skua sp, 10 Arctic Skua, 29 Great Skua, 8 Arctic Tern, 1 Common Tern, 2 Commic tern, 2 Sandwich Tern, 17 Guillemot, 92 Razorbill, 26 auk sp and 1 Puffin between 06:30 and 12:20. Late News 10/09 Kingsmill: Lesser Yellowlegs again from the 2nd hide at the China Fleet Country Club.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: Spotted Crake showing well from the standing stone at midday at least, also 4 Grey Heron, 7+ Little Egret, 1 Cormorant, 5 Mute Swan and 4 cygnets, 6 Mallard, 2 Teal, 4 ad Moorhen plus 11 young, 11 Buzzard, 2 Wheatear, 2Stonechat, 2 Reed Bunting, 1+ Cetti’s Warbler and Sedge Warblers.  (D Parker & D Flumm)

Hayle Estuary RSPB: 1 Pectoral Sandpiper showing well below the bridge on Black Road, Copperhouse Creek, also 1 juv Curlew Sandpiper, 3 Knot, 4 Dunlin, 15 Redshank and an aberrant plumaged Carrion Crow. (D Parker, L Williams, R Farnes & P Smale)

Pendennis, Falmouth: Large shearwater sp, probably Great Shearwater. (D Chaney)

The Rumps: 300 Manx Shearwater, 1+ Balearic Shearwater, 2 Great Skua, 2 Arctic Skua, 12+ Kittiwake, 40-50 Razorbill and Guillemot, c100 Gannet and 2 Peregrine. Also 1 Ocean Sunfish being tended to by a juvenile Herring Gull to remove parasites and 2 Grey Seals. (E Imber)
