Late News 21/05 Marazion Marsh RSPB: Purple Heron flew to north of the railway at 11:45.

Marazion Marsh RSPB: 6 Mute Swan plus 6 cygnets, 4 Greylag plus 9 goslings, 3 Canada Geese plus 2 goslings, 1 hybrid goose, 9 Mallard plus 2 broods of ducklings, 1 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 13 Grey Heron, 5 Moorhen, c5 Swallow, c15 Swift, 1 House Martin, 1 fem Wheatear, 1+ Reed Bunting, 1 Whitethroat, 4 Cetti’s Warbler, Reed Warblers and Sedge Warblers. Pendeen Watch: Little Auk on the sea, 5 Balearic Shearwaters, 1 Great Skua and 1 Puffin past between 09:00 & 10:15.

St Ives: Little Auk past the Island at 15:00.

Newlyn: Black Redstart still at Sandy Cove.

Falmouth: 1 Waxwing at 15:00 at Pennance Road, Falmouth (next to the cemetery, at the crossroads with Spernen Wyn Road), feeding on rowan berries; there were 2 at the same tree at 16:30 and at 16:45 they left towards N. One of the birds had a metal ring on (only metal, unfortunately), both were juveniles. Also 1 Blackcap.at Gyllyngvase Terrace. (R Matias)

Penzance: 2 Black Redstarts (1 male) on rocks by the railway station and 1 Black Redstart in the Harbour.
