Late News 14/04 Falmouth, Pendennis: Wheatear 4+ Purple Sandpipers. 2 imm Kittiwakes, 1 Sandwich Tern and 2 Common Scoter west. A male Kestrel hunting a Rock Pipit. (D Chaney)

Late News 15/04 Gorrangorras: 4 Redshank, 2 Greenshank, 1 Snipe, 9 Little Egret and 4 Turnstone. (D Chaney)

Late News 15/04  Helston: Whooper Swan still at Helston Boating Lake, female Common Scoter on Helston Loe Pool, with 50+ Sand Martin and 150+ Swallow total moving through (c40 each at the north end with 2 House Martin). 7 Sandwich Terns flew from Carminowe Creek towards Loe Bar and presumably out to sea, and a Common Sandpiper in Carminowe Creek. Marazion Marsh RSPB: 6 Mute Swan (including 1 immature), 4 Greylag, 4 Canada Geese, 2 hybrid geese, 5 Mallard, 2 Teal, 2 Gadwall, 1 Cormorant, 1 Little Egret, 7 Grey Heron, 16 Moorhen, 4 Oystercatcher, 1 Snipe, c20 Swallow, 5 Sand Martin and 4+ Cetti’s Warbler, early morning. Nanquidno: 1 Cuckoo (C. Moore)

Penlee: Snow Bunting – still in the ploughed field on the left just before Penlee carpark,Whitethroat – first ones in with 2 singing around Penlee carpark, Swallow – steady movement N about 25/hour, Chiffchaff – about 6 singing birds, Willow Warbler – 1, Wheatear – about 10 dotted around the headland, Redstart – 1 male near Coastguard cottages. Great Carclaze Pit: 1 Drake Ring-necked Duck (from Par Beach Pool?) with 15 Tufted Ducks. 4 singing Willow Warbler, Ravens nesting, Drake Goldeneye. (S. Cole)

Par Beach: c70 dead birds collected during yesterday and today. Mainly Guillemot and Razorbill but also 1 Gannet and an unidentified Gull/Tern. 1 Guillemot picked up alive and taken to the RSPCA. (Users of Par Beach per N.Climpson)

Longdowns: 1st year Iceland Gull feeding in roadside pasture at Longdowns with Herring Gulls at 07:30. (S. Croft)

Portscatho: 15 Whimbrel flying south off Portscatho, moulting Great Norther Diver off Portscatho. (S. Croft)

Amble Marshes: Drake Garganey,  Greylag Goose, Common Sandpiper and 2 Sedge Warbler. (C. Selway)

Wadebridge: Common Tern over Old Town Bridge, late afternoon. (C. Selway)

Swanpool:  10+ Swallow and 3 Sand Martin moving through, with a Whimbrel inland over the golf course. Water Rail, Chiffs singing, female Blackcap, and Green Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Nuthatch and 3 Bullfinch. (D. Chaney)

Coverack: 1 Pom Skua, 2 Bonxies and 7 Arctic Terns flew west between 09:00 & 10:45.
